The building that houses the guesthouse was built in 1888 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As with many buildings of this age, living quarters were on the upper level with the various businesses on the street level. This means that there are two long stairways leading to the rooms. The guesthouse is similar to a traditional youth hostel with two shared bathrooms, kitchen, large dining room and large “parlor”. The larger bathroom is located at the bottom of the back stairway. Wi-Fi is available and the whole upstairs can be rented with beds for six occupants. The kitchen is stocked with ample food and snacks for a substantial breakfast and light evening meal.
